I promise you they will find a way to pump up the graphics even more so they can continue to keep the performance low enough to suck.
As soon as they realize that the games run at a stable 60fps they're probably gonna start supersampling and ray tracing to keep it down at a nice and cinematic 24fps.
If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.
