The controller def shows its price tag when you hold one. I am fine with it not having a built in pack that will degrade over time or could leak when it gets put away years from now. Plus Xbox know we will still use their controllers because their nice and a LOT of people still buy wired controllers for the "perceived" lag of wireless ones, lol. Not to mention mine came with a really nice cord to run it on only if I wanted to.
