Ubisoft doesn't need many excuses to make shitty PC games/ports. And yes, 2205 seems to be very simplified, but I don't know if/how that affects the enjoyement of the game. I've played Anno 1404 and sometimes I got sick of so many production issues

To me UPlay is more of an annoyance than a problem, and while I would like to not having to use it, it's not a deal breaker for me. Btw, have you played Anno 1404? How does 2070 compare to it?

You know Ubisoft, they always like to use "cinematic experience" as their go to excuse at times =P.

I normally don't mind some simplification in some games but the ANNO series isn'tr eally that type you need to simplify since the game is about managing resources, the different factions and different varieties of people to adhere to.

I didn't really get to play 1404 and 2070 was my first jump into the series, that still didn't stop me from looking back on the previous titles and looking at how they progressed. 2070 was a bit of a step up I'd say, currently it's a bit above 2205 since Ubisoft chucked out a few things from 2070 which make it suffer just a bit.

Uplay is a deal breaker for me since I just dislike their client in general, how it wants to update my games despite them already being updated or claiming my games aren't installed despite me downloading and installing them on Steam.  Then there is the whole launch the game and then get asked to install Uplay and boot it up at the same time to which their client checks for updates and the like when it's already been done, that to me creates a ton of hassle and waiting times from nowhere and it's a reason I just avoid it alltogether. At least with origin I can buy and download my games and they can be launched straight away without more DRM getting in my way. They also support launch commands like Steam and the ability to change the box art of the games themselves, something Ubisoft still hasn't caught onto yet.

Lucky me, I haven't had any problems with UPlay... but that may come from the fact that I only have three UPlay games (AC 2, Brotherhood and Revelations) and I bought them at retail, not digitally.

It's a pitty that you haven't played Anno 1404 as that's the only game in the series I've played (I got it during Steam's Summer Sale after the 2205 reveal at E3) and I wanted to know how the two compare :-/.

And with the Darksiders II "remaster", it looks like they picked the PC version of the game, touched a bit the textures and a couple more things and call it a day, and that's why the game doesn't look that much different than the old PC version.

An this would also explain why the game is already 6€ with an 80% off in this week's weekend publisher sale, which is Nordic games

@Basil: I also want a lot of games, but I don't put them all on my wishlist.

Oh, and like you, I don't like sport games and I don't understand why they buy the same games year after year. Do they really have to get Fifa every year? Or NBA or Madden? C'mon! Get the game every 2 or 3 years or so to really see the changes and improvements.
