STEAM 'ITEM STORES' ROLL OUT WITH NEW UPDATE, DEBUT IN RUST

Head over to the Rust store page on Steam and you'll notice a new option offering "Items available for this game," including clothing and firearms, that can be purchased for real money. It's the first (and, as far as I know, only) implementation of "Item Stores," a function introduced in the latest update to Steam that enables developers and community creators to sell in-game items directly to players.

THE ASSASSIN'S CREED SYNDICATE SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS ARE HERE

Assassin's Creed Syndicate, as is now the Ubisoft tradition, has been out on consoles for a couple of weeks but will plod onto the PC later this month. As part of that process, Ubisoft has today announced the minimum and recommended system requirements, and it is my pleasure to present them to you.

ARK: SURVIVAL EVOLVED'S GIGANOTOSAURUS CAN CHOMP WALLS

Ark's latest dinosaur, the Giganotosaurus Furiosa, is a bottomless well of rage that can eat its way through stone walls and unseat riders whenever it has a temper tantrum. It's slow, but with every hit its "rage reaction" makes its bite more powerful and it gains more stamina. The developers refer to it as a "captial beast of war"—the Super Star Destroyer of the dinosaur world, then.

 

THE OFFICIAL FALLOUT 4 COMPANION APP IS OUT NOW

Anyone with an Android or iOS device can now download the official Fallout 4 companion app. This means you don't have to bring up your Pip-Boy in-game to check your stats or switch radio stations: you can do it on your phone or tablet. And anyone who bought the lavish Fallout 4 Pip-Boy Edition will be able to slot their phone into a replica of the wrist-mounted gizmo for maximum post-apocalyptic immersion.
