I honestly don't care for those deals either way, as long as the game/content eventually gets released on other platforms (assuming the publisher wants to).
I just think this is a waste of money, especially for optionnal content... don't care for it, and generally just ignore it and well, I can wait for a game to be released later too.
Some marketing people must have made research to prove some people buy their console taking these deals into account.
