I really hope this is the begining of the end of the console wars in the casual space. If PS4 can become the defacto home console in the US, then online play is going to get a lot more fun. It will be awesome to have a system at PS2 level marketshare along with the connectedness of todays electronics.
NPD's should be nteresting for the next 3 months, though I expect a clean sweep for PS4. Next year, however, I think it is going to be complete domination for 12 months. Possibly 2 -3x sales vs the competition in every NPD. |
Let's not get ahead of ourselves just yet. I think the PS4 has just pipped the XB1 in October and I think the PS4 will outsell the XB1 in November by a much bigger margin ... until Black Friday. That's assuming -- and I'm not one of those that do -- that Sony won't have equally impressive deals.
