Nowadays, most people who like watching gaming channels on youtube like drama, they like overracting, people getting mad, and reviews that bash the game so much it's funny. CGR was the opposite of all that, he had calm, well written, and generally praising reviews. And when it came down to it, that's just not the kinda thing people want out of a gaming channel in this age, which is a pretty sad reality we live in. |
He struck me as simply being burnt out, that being more of a longstanding gripe or excuse. There's room for multiple approaches as he and others have proven, it's not as if this is some TV series that's been cancelled. Youtube has many sober, reasonable game reviewers who are doing just fine and to whom I'm subscribed as well.
It will be sad to see him go though. :(
