So we got Dragon Quest, Earthbound, Final Fantasy, Mario RPG - Legend Of The Seven Stars (?), Phantasy Star 4 (?), Chrono Trigger (?), Another Mario RPG, Final Fantasy VII, Xenogears, Tales Of Symphonia, Final Fantasy X-2, Persona 4, Xenoblade Chronicles, Skyrim (?), Mass Effect, Xenoblade Chronicles X, Persona 5, and Final Fantasy XV.... Very nice list of games to be pictured, and then we have Skyrim... A glitched mess.
I haven't played every RPG on every console in every Gen, so I can't chose the "best one", but I can definitely mention some standout titles!
Pokemon Gold/Silver/Crystal are SO GOOD. Gold was probably my first JRPG, and I loved it.
The PS1 has so many RPGS, its hard to chose one. But Vagrant Story, Digimon World, and Star Ocean - Second Story shouldn't be overlooked.
Gamecube had Baten Kaitos, X-Men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse (such a fun RPG/Beat 'em up hybrid). PS2 has Final Fantasy XII, the Xenosaga series, Tales of The Abyss, Star Ocean Til The End Of Time, Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne and Digital Devil Saga!
Wii and 360 have the amazing Arc Rise Fantasia, The Last Story, Star Ocean The Last Hope, Eternal Sonata!
