I think people were pissed about a lot more things than a cliffhanger-y ending
Really? There was nothing cliffhanger-y about the ME2 story. It all wrapped up quite neatly. The only people who might be pissed are those who thought the whole story would be done with in the second game. But it proabbly would have taken just a few hours of playing it for enyone to realise ME2 wasn't going to be the final chapter. I think impatient anticipation is what fans of ME2 were feeling, not pissed offness. Well at least I was full of anticipation. Though I also had the advantage of playing the late PS3 port, which meant less time to wait.
