Taking over? The top selling console is Japanese, the AAA studios have lots of British staff holding top level jobs, many of the AAA games are not american (canada, france, England, and other parts of Europe). When there are no AAA games not launching, Japanese handheld games are normally top of the global sales numbers.
I have no idea where you get this idea that America are taking over.
