My favourite games are Roguelike dungeon crawls, most of which don't even have graphics up to the standard of Pac Man, Space Invaders or Pong. They use purely ASCII.
Some of us really aren't graphics whores =P
Oh and its scientifically proven that guys decide whether they want to have sex with a girl within the first few seconds, I'm pretty sure that this idea is carried over to graphics whores who decide they want to own a game the moment they see a screenshot. How else did Lair sell a bunch of copies despite its controls tremendous sucking.
