How can you use 343 games to bump Bungie numbers and exclude Crash Bandicoot??

ND

Crash the bandicoot - 6,82 Crash 2 -7,58 Crash 3 - 7,13 Crash Team Racing - 4,79 Crash The Wrath of Cortex 5,42
Jak and Daxter: 3,64 - Jak 2 - 2,78 Jak 3 - 1.85 Last Frontier - 1,06 Collection - 0,83 Jack X - 0,55

Uncharted - 4,87 Uncharted 2 - 6,62 Uncharted 3 - 6,72 Uncharted Golden Abyss - 1,48 The Last of US PS3 - 5,63 Last of US PS4 - 3,33

Total - 71,1M without PS1 era and Golden Abyss = 37,88

Bungie

Halo if picking all 60,96M... if only by Bungie = 1,2,3+ODST and Reach = 43,3M

Would your excluding clauses be so that you would be able to make Halo Bigger than ND on PS2 onwards?

And just for information the VGC numbers are pretty off...

Because the topic is about what the best acquisition was. Sony bought ND AFTER Crash Bandicoot, and ND never owned the IP rights of that franchise. When MS bought Bungie, they acquired the Halo IP, so I also add the games 343 made. Just like I include the Uncharted and Daxter games not made by ND. My "exlusion" clauses are fair as that's what's being asked by the OP. I can assure you, Crash Bandicoot is one of my favorite franchises, more so than Halo. I wish Sony owned the IP instead of Activision, but they sadly don't.

But he is asking about Developer not franchises. And Halo was already on the making when MS bought then, so you would have to discount all of them. Or by MS buying Gears IP you would also try and put the dev on the list of bought devs?

And considering Bungie left, and ND is selling more each interaction then it's a little different than you consideration.

But Bungie made them that franchise! It doesn't matter if Halo was already in the making before MS bought it. They bought it before it was finished. They made it so popular. Where would MS be without Halo? PS would still be very popular, even without ND. When I think of XBOX I think of Halo. When I think of PS I don't really think of any franchise in particular. (that's not a bad thing at all for the record, you could even say it's a good thing). Now if ND makes a franchise that sells over 10 million units per game on a consistent base in the future then I might reconsider of course. It's not outside the realm of possibilities. Maybe TLOU2 will do it?
