It's entirely obvious that you've never played any Suikoden, you don't know what you're saying, and you're talking because it's free. Suikoden, along with MegaTen are the two most radically "different from the norm" series of RPGs created.
Stories in the Suikoden games have always been complex political struggles between nations, inner rebellions in a country, coup d'etats. You never save the world, there are no evil guys trying to destroy the planet, just people doing what they think it's in the best interest for their country.
The cast of characters is increidibly huge (you cant recruit in every game 108 characters) and diverse, and almost everyone one of them has a important background, as do every enemy you face
So inform yourself before insulting Suikoden. Thanks
