The Amazon rankings only show how products sell relative to each other, not how much they actually sell. For instance, one PS4 SKU is ranked #10 and two XBO SKUs are ranked #20 and #40. It appears that the PS4 is selling more since it is the highest ranked SKU, but we don't know how large of a difference there is between each SKU. The PS4 could have sold 100 units with the XBO SKUs selling 40 and 20 units. However, what if the the XBO SKUs sold 80 and 40 units?

Are you seriously telling ME this? I'm the person who constantly reminds people of this. Amazon has always been judged to be right or wrong based on which console is at the top of the monthlies when the final update hit. It's been wrong once and right every other time. It was wrong in April and everyone spoke of it being wrong in April. Why was it wrong in April? Because it had the PS4 at the top of the monthlies. It was right every other time. Why was it right every other time? Because the console that lead the monthlies won the month on NPD.

Um, okay.... let's calm down for a moment. There is really no need to be belligerent.

I wouldn't say Amazon was wrong in April. There were two XBO SKUs that finished close behind the PS4, with one of them just one rank lower. Because there was such as small gap (in terms of ranking) between the two XBO SKUs, it was logical to assume that the XBO sold more.
