Have publishers gone too far with Pre-order bonuses, day one DLCs and season passes?

i'm pretending right now that battlefront is delayed until the ultimate edition comes down to 50 euro or less...
i have a big backlog and ps+ that fills up my gaming time quite well while the more recent games comes down in price... i'm not a kid anymore that has to do what the cool kids are doing...
