I think GT Sport is going to be extremely important to PS VR. Otherwise they would only have hade Driveclub, and since that game already runs at 30fps there wasn't a lot of room to make it work in a heavier VR mode.

well driveclub is showing off VR integration at Paris Games week running at 60fps.

Must be a heavily down tuned version then, much like Motorstorm in 3D for example. Though the used the lower quality split-screen mode for that(something that isn't available in Driveclub).

well eurogamer did do a hands on. Car count have been reduced to 8  from 12, the cloud system and some track side detailed have been dialed a bit back and rear view mirror. Although this is just a three months built, they will be slowly dialing it back up and adding the details back in to make it stable 60 fps in 6 months time.
"it's one of the most authentic VR experiences you can get. The visual fidelity of DriveClub is largely intact, too - it's a little more sparse, but not distractingly so, and Evolution has been able to hit 60fps without the resolution taking a dive." - Eurogamer

So it seems its not sacrificing too much.
