As awful as that policy was it did help stop the rapidly increasing Chinese population. I kind of fear what will happen without this, China and India already have more than 36% of the worlds population, and at the rate the world's pop is increasing the human race will end up running out of resources as the Earth cannot support such a large population resource wise.
