I really need to know if it's the next mainline GT or something in line with Academy.

I honeslty don't know, even back before E3, I didn't have first hand knowledge of the title, just aware of discussions about "The GT announcement" and production of the trailer, which was taking place at the time, all of which seemed to flare up close to E3 so I figured it was gearing up for an E3 announcement, turns out it wasn't.

But then, this is GT, one of the many kings of delays :(
