Surely they do. I been pulled ouf of the classroom by my ear by one as did many students at my school.

Hell in primary school we got cained even for misbehaving, and that was in the 90s not the 50s as some may assume.

If teachers have zero power now, whats the point of even being a teacher in such an environemnt?

Well hopefully people get the job because they want to teach people rather than because they want to beat children...

I don't condone any intentional pain as a way to discipline, yet today's fear of even taking a child by the arm to take them out of class goes to far. Completely pointless too, if to avoid that, the police is called to do the physical harming instead...
