COBALT delayed until February 2016

http://www.pcgamer.com/cobalt-delayed-until-february-2016/

Hey, remember when we said that Cobalt was coming "in October". Well, Cobalt is not coming in October. It's coming next February instead, publisher Mojang has just announced. They revealed the delay with the aid of a cute trailer—the world's first 'delay trailer'?—which you can see below.

OVERWATCH closed beta begins tomorrow - in Europe too

http://www.pcgamer.com/overwatch-closed-beta-begins-tomorrow-in-europe-too/

You've remembered to sign up for that Overwatch closed beta that begins tomorrow, right? Oh—maybe you should get on that. It's an "old school" beta of the exciting competitive FPS, featuring a Spectator mode and in-built voice chat—and that's about all we know for the time being. The beta was scheduled to go live only for the Americas on the 27th, but Blizzard has managed to complete its setup/testing of the European beta servers faster than expected, and so us Europe types can now join in on the same date. Huzzah! Oh but Asian regions will still have to wait.

JUST CAUSE 3 has a story apparently, detailed in new trailer

Avalanche's latest Just Cause 3 trailer—not the launch trailer, you're making that, remember—is all about the game's story, which everyone is totally interested in because uhhhh. Judging by the following video, the voice acting has improved a bit, making me worry that the campy fun of "BOLO SANTOSI" might be lost. Fingers crossed that it hasn't. Also, and more importantly, Rico Ridriguez now has a completely different face. What's that about?

DAY OF THE TENTACLE Remastered screenshots revealed

http://www.pcgamer.com/day-of-the-tentacle-remastered-screenshots-revealed/

Hey, remember that time when Double Fine announced an exciting-sounding Day of the Tentacle remaster? No? It was a while ago I suppose, but we can be assured of the game's continued existence with a bunch of new screenshots—the first, in fact—which have just been revealed by the erstwhile point 'n' click developer. As you can see, the original version's sharp, blocky sprites have been redrawn in a much higher resolution that will hopefully look OK in motion. (I say 'hopefully' because we haven't seen any video of the remaster yet.)
