My PC cost as much as a PS4 and I have no performence issues whatsoever. Combine Steam with that and try to convince me about how console gaming is cheaper. (this comes from a person who owns all current gen consoles except for the xbox one)
Edit: I mostly agree about the rest, even though I don't mind that you need multiple platforms.
