The soundtrack, with some exceptions, sounds like it belongs in a completely different game and the loss of the sense of isolation is quite unfortunate...

You can teleport to the main areas once you have the light suit. All the keys are rather easy to find as well, it shouldn't take you more than 50 minutes. The first Prime has some very cryptic artifacts that I would never have found without a guide. Prime 3 has the best fetch quest imo. There's still isolation in Prime 3, especially in the Valhalla space ship and Elesia. Not to forget the abandoned fort in Bryyo (the ice section).

I agree with the Prime 3 points; I think Corruption still very much feels like a Metroid game. It reminds me a bit of a less linear 3D Metroid Fusion; which still very much feels like a Metroid game. Corruption definitely still places the responsibility on the player to figure things out and descern how to get where they need to go, which has basically been the trilogy's MO since Prime. It's less about figuring out exactly where you need to go, and more about actually getting there.
