It's not that the TV has a bad display built in or anything like that, and the TV is actually very stylish looking.
The problem is the user interface.
It has 1000s of Smart TV/online features, but my friend doesn't use them at all anyway.
The only thing he would sometimes use is the ability to plug in a USB stick and play media files from it. Unfortunately this only works in 30% of all cases, in the other cases the TV simply freezes and must be turned off and on again. He installed the newest TV firmware just a few days ago, but that didn't help at all.
The most commonly used feature of his previous TV was the ability to switch back to the last channel with a single button press on the remote. There doesn't seem to be any such button on the new TVs remote - maybe there is some possibility, but even after months he still couldn't figure out how, he's tried all buttons.
And the default color settings of his TV are just ridiculous, so oversaturated I feel like I'm getting eye cancer when looking at his TV. That's just a simple setting of course that he could easily change - but like most people, he just sticks to the default...
I'm not saying that it's an inherently bad TV - it might be the ideal TV for another person, but it doesn't fit my friend, who's no willing to spend any time setting up his TV or even touching an operations manual.
