very few actually will. Steam will be the superior service. Steam will be free. Steam will have cheaper prices. the only people who would follow are the hardcore fanboys. the rest would move on to PS4 and some to PC.

This is pretty much a done deal at this point. There is just no way MS will fully uproot Steam and their sales and massive catlogue of games, most indie devs also happen to go towards STeam primarily over MS. Also I can guess MS trying to throw some form of XBL onto the PC side of thigns but it's not really going to work the way they think it will, a few hardcore might go for it but they should just stick to software sales and not limit who they want to control (because they honestly still want to hold control over some system than co-existing with it).

The only way that they can remain relevant in the gaming market is by making hardware. if they Ditch their hardware and go on the PC and windows 10, they are screwed. Steam, Origin and GOG are going to be on windows 10, and there is nothing MS can do to stop them. they are all free, and Steam is the top dog.

They could try offering exclusive games on XBL on PC to make people pay the subscribition fee's, but there are only two that would have an effect, Halo and Gears. but how much can they make of those really? and its not like the PC market really goes crazy over those 2 games. if they did, they wouldnt be on PC in the first place.

i really wonder where MS is heading in the gaming Market, if they are hoping Windows 10 will be their salvation, it wont be. they could go third party i guess.
