Well I can certainly see them making a new model that can play 4K blurays. But I doubt that they would make changes to beef up specs to twice the standard I.e. 30 -> 60.
Would be interesting to see if they could take the mobile phone approach and offer new models every year with updated internals as long as the older models had a provision PR assurance that they would be able to play newer games
