That's a huge win for MS compared to 24 mill Xbox vs 115 mill PS2 in last gen. -You have no solid proof that those numbers will end up the way they are so that statement is disregarded. 2. Yes, the X360 is profitable now. The last 2 Q reports show that, and it will continue. Xbox360 is profitable for NOW, yet still has a very very long way to go to even make back the money it costs to design, manufacture and market the 360 alone. 3. I didn't mean hardware reliability. I meant that MS in the eyes of consumers is now a reliable and established player in the console business. Reliable in the sense that you know MS will stay in this business and offer the first machine in every gen. If you want to jump on next gen early, you'll know MS will be there for you. Ironically they will tell 360 owners to F off and spend hundreds to buy a newer console with less games, just liek Xbox1 owners... yeah, Microsoft will be there for you alright. 4. "Cool" matters because it has to do with the marketing aspects in this business. Just listen to Kaz Hirai and his homeboys over the years. Just look at the MTV inspired Sony commercials over the years. People hate MS, yes, but X360 is considered to be a great brand now. Nowadays even thugs think X360 is the true shit. Thugs steal more PS3s than Xbox360, read the news. Even thugs still think of the PS3 as the system to get....err steal. 5. More games are released for the X360 than for any other console. At least more than to the PS3. Devs love the X360. This may be the only thing that is ture. 6. The trend is Xbox is in an upward spiral (24 mill--->50 mill) while PS is going downwards (115 mill--->60 mill). In next gen Xbox 3 will outsell the PS4, going by trends. Too bad the market does not work this way, nor is that way to determine how market trends in the first place. Another irrelevent comment. . |
