You started as a kid and grew up that was awesome. Gannondorf coughing up blood at the end was cool. Gerudo valley part was awesome. Water temple while I hated it at the time I actually take pride in saying I beat that level without a guide because back in those days I didn't even know how to use the internet to get one. The Deku tree and the forest temple were so cool the gorons and that dance the goron cheif did. I am super nostalgic for that game. |
Never said it wasn't important and never said it doesn't "deserve credit." It is and it does. Doesn't mean it's anywhere close to being the best Zelda game, though. Importance =/= superior quality. I can name five Zelda games off the top of my head that are vastly superior in design that Zelda, regardless of impact on the industry. I know you're nostalgic for that game. So am I. So are most people who love that game, but it's over rated. Great game. Not even close to being the best Zelda games, and all of the worst aspects of the series started with that game.
