As far as I'm aware, the United States actually has less censorship compared to other countries. At least, on the federal level. There are still several companies (Such as Nintendo of America or Apple) who will remove content for "censorship" reasons. Most likely to maintain a positive image among people who want to pretend that bad things don't exist.

Personally, I'm rather indifferent in regards to the examples you gave. But censorship is still censorship, and I'm not really a fan it. Since censorship can be abused to compromise Free Speech, or make us forget history.
