| Cloudman said: Yees, Distant High Life is also a good one. I've been wanting to say that about Shane and Dani for awhile now, haha. I really loved the work they put out for the game so far. I would look through the soundtracks of all the games to see if they came out anywhere, since they captured the style of the game so well. It surprises me how well they were able to make the music, although one or 2 tracks were borrowed since they are Mother staples. I hope the writing is on par too. It's what I'm concerned about the most. Though it sounds like they picked people who specialize on writing, so I'm feeling confident the story and dialogue will be good as well. The team is aiming for perfection so I think they won't scimp on anything : ) |
Well it doesn't matter if the writers are good writers. What matters is if they are capable of staying true to the tone and style of Earthbound. Mother 3's fan localization wasn't mediore because the quality wasn't high, it was mediore because it didn't feel like Earthbound in style. Undertale is exciting because it seems to have that style of writing (with liberties, of course). I don't want good writing. I want good Earthbound writing. I'm cautiously optimistic, though. I think we won't know how good it is until it gets to the serious bits. If it takes itself too seriously in writing style, it fails.
I definitely think they'll try, though. My most anticipated game outside of Zelda, which is very sad in many ways for many reasons.
