What you seem unable to understand--and honestly, I don't even know how this is possible--is that you do not have to play F2P games if you own a gaming PC.  You do not.  You don't have to play MMOs if you own a gaming PC.  I'm serious, you can look it up.  Why you think otherwise, I have no clue, but I'm telling the truth.

I. Know. That.

All of those kinds of PC games are already available on other platforms. The kind that are, going back to my original post, more convenient and less time consuming.

To TLDR this ENTIRE thing, PC games fall into two categories - Games already available on consoles, or F2P/MMO's/RTS.  The only other thing would be small independant titles on Steam. There is no allure to me sitting in front of my computer screen playing games and the kind of unique games it offers are not to my taste, therefore if home consoles vanished, I would quit gaming.

^The exception being, if there was a steam box that could play Sony/Nintendo games and was the centerpiece of your home theater.

^^I felt like that was a silly question though because monopolies can't happen.

So your point is simply that being able to play games on your TV is more important to you than playing games at all?  Why didn't you just say so from the start?  Or do you mean that you ONLY like games if they're exclusives?

Eh.  Neither one is something I can understand but to each their own.
