Why Is Metacritic So Hated?

Let me add something else, I'm a guy that tries a lot of games. Either I pick them up cheap on eBay, I'm always looking at the Marketplace for deals, and I've rented many through Gamefly in the past. My Xbox profile says I've played just over 600 games (retail and digital). Bear in mind I don't complete them all, not enough time for that, but it only takes a hour or two to see what most games are about.

There are a few games I certainly enjoy that scored in the 60s (Ryse is pretty good!). But in MOST cases, games that score 60s or less are objectively bad, seriously flawed, or boring. When you try so many games you learn Metacritic is actually a pretty good guide at directing people away from crap.

Yeah.  I normally wait for huge price drops on games that score around 60.  So far I havent been wrong and I am glad that I didnt pay full price for them.  The order is one of them.  Meanwhile I took a risk at buying DBZ xenoverse full price that score 70 and I dont regret it one bit.  I spent more than 100 hours already.  Granted, I am a dbz fan so that really help.
