(I'm stick on a phone, please help me cut quote trees)

If I didn't play the first, would I be excited? Probably not. I thoroughly enjoyed what I played thus far, and this is actually my first "real" shooter. By real, I mean as a third-person shooter.

I really liked the battle system, and I don't think I've scratched the surface yet - various unique abilities for each of the classes (I hear the scouts are OP, however) alongside an ability system unique to the characters, the dichotomy between the map and the shooting portions - and the management of various aspects like Turn Points or Stamina, how the strategies play out in battle...the only thing I could really ask for is make the story better.

It's a strong 8-10/11 from what I've played, issues with mouse aiming aside.

I played back on ps3 right as it came out and it was such a breath of fresh air. Especially for huge fans of SRPG's who had about died during the ps2 days and were absent during the last gen.

i found the concept so original and a real good use of the new consoles, it blows my mind how it didn't stick as a console franchise (not to mention i'd expect other JP companies to push for it). The art style was amazing, being cell shaded did help out too, not very resource intensive while remaining beautiful looking.

I hope they will improve on the loading times for this gen and maybe tweak the balancing a bit. Who knows, maybe an online mode pitting army vs army... i get all tingly just thinking about it :)

i think you'll enjoy it all the way till the end, i know i did for sure. kept getting better and better
