So I just built a PC and here's my take on the whole Consoles VS PC argument

Look what comments got liked and then look at TheGreatGamerGod who got 3 dislikes for saying "Indeed, this also of course doesn't count the offline users. I tend to use it offline more than online to avoid perky conversations during larger games so it could well be a lot more." in a reply to JRPGFan asking "Does this mean they had close to 11million people with steam opened up?". But yet Lawlight got 3 likes for saying "So, anyone who's got Steam opened in the tray but not playing counts as a concurrent user?"

Ofcorse i tried to even out the likes a bit so now he only has 2

Also i wouldnt leave if i was you. At the end of the day if we or users like us are not here to defend PC gaming from such clear smuge campaigns people might start believing the words that come out of most of the pc haters moutes. Best to just make users see them for the sillyness that they are.

I think in some of the haters cases anyways why they fear pc so much is that so many of their friends maybe want/plan on getting a PC. At the end of the day TF2, CSGO, Dota, WoW, and even Minecraft PC version (Thanks to mods) are much bigger exclusives (Even if Minecraft isnt exclusive you cant even compare the console versions to the PC version)then a lot of console fans will try to make out, and them 5 games alone are bringing many a console fan to PC, never mind the other wealth of classics to new AAA games to being able to play pretty much any game from any system up to lastgen is making it a most have gaming device for many a once console gamer. IMO this is what the haters fear and is why they hate it as i cant think of any other reason other then losing your friends to another device that you dont have that could make you not like that device in such a way (Im not saying every console fan is losing their friends to PC only the haters).

See the more I see this site when it comes to PC news the more I see a waste of effort, for a time I watched when PC article came out to see how fast VGC can catch up on PC type news than say PCGamer does or Dtoid and other sites but even when they do the comments are pretty much empty until it;s something PC gets or has acheieved is when downplaying comments come into play and it just speaks volumes of how much the site cares for PC gaming, that is to say it's not entirely a welcoming place or users making you feel unwelcome.

I love PC gaming for what it offers and what is is, I've always loved playing some games on my PC's through the years from being a kid to now and played consoles in the past as well but now I just don't see that being a thing this gen (except for Wii U) and decided to fully keep with PC, I don't care what people play on tbh but I do care when they try to butt in and make excuses as to why their lack of giving PC a try is somehow better than not trying it at all and that's what I will never understand from these people who choose to constantly come in and downplay and then claim we downplay them all the time (because lets face it that's always going to be one of their backup arguments even though we lack PC users on the site to begin with).

You know what was funny though, a few weeks ago I ordered a new PSU and GPU (GTX 980 AMP edition and EVGA 750w) and once they arrived I thought I wasn't going to get it right plugging them in since my last PSU had a different layout but in the end I got them both sorted and it really is building with legos (I notcied that legos image in a PC related thread a few days back =P).

Also recently thought of upgrading my ram since I'm feeling 8gb isn't enough for me, I don't do video editing yet but I do use animation software and generally like to keep some clients open and over the years I have become memory and process obcessed so I like to keep usage and consumption as low as possible. Wondering where to get a nice kit of 16gb (high quality) though since I could use PC parts picker but I've noticed they don't always have the kits I'd love to use, I could probably just use Scan.co.uk instead though.
