All 360 buyers are PS2 upgraders... maybe, and maybe not. There's no evidence to prove either way. Off-topic: I love how the general consensus has changed over the course of a few months. Before, it was accepted as truth that GTA IV would sell more XBOX 360s and outsell PS3 software wise, and as the launch neared and news came out that things weren't looking so rosy for 360 hardware, and that PS3 software would probably be higher than 360 in others, it switched to 'stealing PS2 userbase'. But I digress, what would I do if the console of my choice didn't do as well as expected? ![]() |
If you had read my OP or subsequent posts, you would know that the bolded does not in anyway represent my opinionP
As for the last bit? You realize that the accepted wisdom (even from Xbox 360 fanboys) at large was that the PS3 would get a better hardware boost from GTAIV from the beginning right?
Actually, whats surprising is first of all that both HD consoles got a smaller than expected boost, that the Xbox 360 didn't do as well SW wise compared to the PS3 as was expected, but that it did BETTER than in expected HW wise (once again, relatively, as both consoles achieved a smaller boost than I had hoped).
Now that I think about it, the Wii needs to fall back a bit. I really don't want one overly dominant console this generation.
