Mmm... Judging by the deaths on my latest level, most people find the alternate path rather than the regular one. It seems people go for the less obvious path before the obvious. When I uploaded it, I already realized there would have been a better spot for those doors, so had a small regret there. Making good secret paths is hard!
At least it's pretty popular, already matching my Bowser level which is sadly lagging a bit. So far, the Icey Cave level has been a hit, it also seems I hid the secret path best there. Finally, seeing the current state of the stats, my speculations from last week don't make sense anymore
