Turn based Strategy/Wargames like Panzer General or Battle Isle. Too bad the genre is practically dead these days. And no, turn-based tactics are really not the same thing and rank much lower on my list.
On second spot, classic western RPG with a full size 6(+2) party, first person perspective and turn-based combat like Might & Magic and Wizardy (Dark Savant Trilogy, not so much the Lylgamyn Series). Also very hard to come by these days. There's a reason why I am so much into retrogaming I guess.
The third spot is taken by 3 genres: grand strategy titles like Hearts of Iron, 4X like Master of Orion, and Visual Novels.
