Microsoft's top priority has always been Holiday, that's all they've cared about since this gen.


1. Home console market is crowded.

2. Whatever Microsofts goal was in past they have changed strategy. So do Sony. Making profits is now top priority.

All companies know better make profit rather than making loss or negligible profit. Microsoft dont want to devalue in the holiday their console like they did in 2014.
