Mr Puggsly said: Steam is a success and its seems worthwhile for many developers to put their games on PC. But the reality is sales on PC, especialy at full price, are generally modest. Piracy is more prevalent than sales because its easy and cost nothing. You don't even need a credit card to pirate a game. It sounds like you want a PC port of Fable II handled basically the same way as Fable Anniversary on Steam, right? Not all MS published games require extra crap. |
I dunno, we don't have all the data in the world to suggest otherwise but it hardly seems fair to say modest at best when it's clear there is nore core edinition of sales data since PC games are sold from plenty of different vendors who at best do not disclose all their sales data to the public, again using Steam Spy is something I wouldn't advise because those who do seem to automatically base it on all of PC gaming and as a solid undeniable fact when it's clear how the creator states that the data isn't entirely 100% conclusive, even then we shouldn't jump to going with "PC pirates the majority of their games" either.
Yes I do want a good port of Fable II on Steam, they can totally sell if on their store and other places but at least make sure when you're publishing a game to make sure you get it out there as much as possible, I have no desire to use their store and likely never will either but they will however get my money by slapping it on all the other storefronts and sites.
Also Anny wasn't exactly the most stellar port if we go by PC critics like Total Biscuit (who do know what they are talking about). Would also love if they could bring Fable III back to PC since they've taken it away for years now....
