I think this time it's more trying to release it to coincide with the movie than because of the holiday period.

I am sure that is the case somewhat, but even the movie is being released based on the Holiday schedule.  I am a big Star Wars fan and can't wait for both the game and the movie.  But, if they told me we have to release the game(or the movie) 90-180 days later to get it fully functioning, I would prefer that.
