Sorry, man. But you are the only one here speaking of such "striking difference". Even at NeoGaf Sony Land people are cool with the resolution difference being almost undetectble on the consoles. There is just not much information (in the statistical case, read here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Information_theory) in just more pixels in a moving image.
But, hey. Have you played both versions? Side by side?
