I doubt Sony had anything to do with this deal, as it's not from a major retailer.  Dealzon probably just has excess LG TV stock and are trying to unload it with the popular PS4, which just got a boost in sales because of the price cut.

I know that, but I'm scratching my head as to why Sony hasn't done such a thing yet to revitalize their consumer electronics division (that's the correct term, right?)

Come to think of it, Sony has a chain of stores here in the Philippines - they try to push the BRAVIA line alongside the PS4, maybe they should do that more often.
