People =/= Effort, the teams are smaller because you need less of certain people. You don't need the same number of programmers or riggers when you already have the model and code. You just need like one guy porting everything, doesn't mean its easier though. Recreating textures originally on a 480 system requires a lot more work when done for 1080.

Sony's remasters are from a 720p system. Like I said, low effort.

But they also make less money than new games and are much less risk. Hence the frequency, unless you have a lot of them their isn't very much profit.

If there wasn't much profit to them, Sony wouldn't make so many of them.

The uncharted collection is for PS4. The market demographics for the PS4 and PS3 are different from each other. Using the PS3's demographics to determine sales on PS4 doesn't make a lick of sense. And spinning what, exactly to be misleading he has to be misleading about "something"

PS4 has a very similar demographic than the PS3. It's the same console, but with more power.

Because credibility on a forum where posters purport baseless, unsupported claims as gospel and people only believe what they agree with rather than do a simple google search, its 2015 we have google, you can see the cost of asset creation, and why Indies can program whatever they want, but need kickstarters for any significant asset development.

Has nothing to do with what I said, maybe you should google less?

If this is PR, why wasn't that. Meanwhile, we have the sales showing how much people give a shit about Sony's self admitted lack of first party line up.

MS's first party line-up isn't much better. But if Sony stopped making first party games all together it would certainly start eating away at their sales lead. Both first party and third party is important, any reasonable person knows that.

You've got nothing, just give up. You lost the moment you brought Nintendo into this discussion.

 * 720 -> 1080 (Low effort)

What would you know about effort?

Has nothing to do with what I said, maybe you should google less?

Lack of reading comprehension doesn't change the content of my response. You said I lowered my credibility with my post, I said credibility is moot when the normal mode of discussion doesn't even site there sources. So it is built around what you said rather than having nothing to do with it.

I don't think there are any real positives for advocating avoiding information.

* I never even implied MS, first party was strong, but Apparently you can bring in MS out of nowhere but I can't mention Nintendo? Second, I never said 1st party was irrelevant, rather I said game library is what is important. The distinction is what is irrelevant, most people don't play Nintendo games just because they are made by Nintendo.

I don't understand why people that "give up" post, its not like this is a competition. Its not like you can win or lose. Besides Nintendo is a Console Manufactuer, they aren't different to Sony in that regard.

“When it comes to the scale of software development, Wii U with HD graphics requires about twice the human resources than before.”

“We may have underestimated the scale of this change and as a result, the overall software development took more time than originally anticipated just as we tried to polish the software at the completion phase of development… “We are almost out of this phase, and we are also trying to create something unique utilizing an easier development approach called ‘Nintendo Web Framework.’ ”

Again, what on earth has Nintendo and their switch to HD development have to do with the vfact that upscaling games from 720p to 1080p is an easy thing to do and doesn't cost a lot of money.

But hey, if you want to believe remasters are hard to make and expensive be my guest...
