It was patched away, so do that trick before you update.

It remains even after updates, so make sure you do that before you update.

Gonna do it now. I HOPE you're right about it remaining after the update because I really want to update! Also, I worry about giving that app my email but that could just be my paranoia speaking.

It does not remain after the update!! You'll have to choose between the hack or the most recent update (which is the only way to access the PSN store).
