Seems it was the perfect thing to announce within a short time frame before halo 5.

Practically, a whole month of increased sales versus just a week's worth. It also eclipses any marketing done by MS for halo. 

I'm just worried about the price drop hype and effect waning by the time halo releases. Hopefully I'm wrong.
