 I think that's the ponit.  It's intentionally arguing one side so poorly as to convince you that it's a dumb book and that the other side is correct.  We're supposed to believe scientists studying evolution are doing 3rd grade maggot-harvesting experiments instead of reading the Divine Word of G-d.
