Have you played most of the games? RE5 was a great game in itself. It was not a horror game but... given the antagonist... you kind of needed to expect action for plot reasons.

The Revelation games are fantastic. I recommend those as they are great survival horror games that retain the feel of modern RE games. The classic atmosphere with the updated gameplay. Revelations 2 is the best game in the series since RE4 and as a faithful long time fan of the series. It might be my personal favorite. The story is phenomenal, but did require knowledge of the lore and the atmosphere was great. No enemies drop ammo, you had to scavenge for every last bullet!

 

Well, you got me there. I haven't played the revelation games. The first one did look good and more like the old RE games. It's one I want to try some time, but I have my hands full atm. The 2nd one, I don't like the looks, but I'd have to try it out first before I pass it by.
