If they were smart, they wouldn't try to imply that the FOV is much larger than it really is. Otherwise, that will really bite them in the ass later with grumpy reviewers and customers. 

 

At 2:30, what you're seeing is what they show everyone in commercials or in demos

 

@ 35 secs, you'll see the FOV of the hololens and what it's really like using it.


Yes, it is quite a lot smaller than they made it seem in the early demos. Which is a shame, but not terribly surprising.
