The PS4 sales spike was actually greater than I had expected (I had predicted 25-30k), but then again the drop in sales during the previous two weeks was also greater than I had expected. I think, if anything, this means that you should not underestimate how well informed console buyers are.
I would like to see how significant the drop will be next week and at what baseline Japan will hold from here on out. My guess would be high-teens.
Wii U's drop seemed quite significant, though it is possible that that is because it was competing with the price-dropped PS4 this week.
