the 360 was a vastly more significant market when agent was announced exclusively for ps3...

i agree, i'm sure that rockstar didn't annouce agent exclusively for ps3 for no reason.  a large sum of cash was probably already paid to rockstar.   ..but ps4 is kicking ass on the market now.  there isn't really any reason to believe that sony lost exclusivity for this title now that conditions are more favorable then ever for playstation exclusivity.

Good point about the 360 at the time, and maybe R* are following up on an old deal.

You've got to wonder though what the implication of not making the game was for the exclusivity deal that was in place, and signing an exclusivity deal with MS for GTA4 dlc instead. And at a time where Sony really needed such a coup.

Somehow I can't imagine Sony having paid a huge sum of money and then just let it slide like that. If money did already change hands, did they come to an agreement and R* paid it back?

Anyway, it'll be interesting to see what comes of this (if something is really going on).

Yeah, GTA4 was meant to be a full PS3 exclusive. MS paid the over 75 million to make it multiplatform and get the dlc first.....

Sony then (probably not too happy at this point) said that they have to do something else so. R* came up with a zombie game but then saw Left 4 Dead and Dead Rising, sensing the market was being saturated, they started concepts for Agent.

I don't believe the debt has been paid in any meaningful way. Although relations are on very strong footing between the two.
