Well he was the CEO so... Like in football, if a club does worse than expected you blame the manager for not being able to make the most of your players. Where are those people making Phil a god sent, messiah etc by the way?

Not quite. People fire the manager just as a easy way to put blame. But I saw several teams that got 4 or 5 coaches and nothing changed, so obviously the problem were the players, but since it's hard to change them all, let's just keep changing coaches.

You are one of them and Jason is another.

Yeah sure it's not always the case, but many times you can see the manager making bad decicions and tactics and changing does do the trick. Like with Xbox, you said it yourself the team was the same, but now they've done some solid damage control and done better than many expected, taking things to right direction. There's still employees with voice and their opinions but ultimately it's down to CEO to set the course and make the decicions. There was many bad decicions made and whether you think Matrick was a yes-man who let other people make the decicions for him or he made the decicions himself (or even something in between) in the end he didn't do a good job.

I don't think anyone blames things solely on Matrick tho and I personally think the hate towards him was uncalled for, but it's funny to see people now underestimate his part in launch disaster to downplay Spencer :)

And I think you make too much of Spencer, really. He's a likeable frontman for xbox and so far he's leading things to right direction, making my Xbox experience better. That's all there is to it.
